CEC Mining Systems is a Canadian designer and manufacturer of liquid separation equipment for use in the the mining industries. Their process ensures high performance mineral processing for a growing global client base. CECMS came to us to refine their brand and develop a new identity system to better reflect their world-leading expertise.
Designing a bold and modern logo
The CECMS logo needed to be more impactful and easier to apply in all of their collateral – print and digital alike. We designed an icon that represented their expertise in water filtration – a minimalist representation of their ceramic disc-vacuum filtration systems – and locked it up with a modern wordmark.
Creating a system of dynamic brand patterns
The logo was then extrapolated into a versatile group of shapes and patterns for use as backgrounds and graphics on all branded materials. This creates a memorable brand look that extends beyond the logo.
Generating a library of assets
Along with a Graphic Standards Manual, we produced a library of assets with the brand look and feel for CECMS to utilize – report covers, stationery, social media templates and PowerPoint presentations.
Updating CECMS' online presence
The rebrand led to our next project with CEC Mining – a new website. We completely restructured, redesigned and developed a new online experience for them – focusing on functionality, user experience and messaging. See the complete website case study here.
